Emanating luxury from every angle, Villa Mia combines worldly materials with opulent style to create a striking home.
Designed with a family buyer in mind, this home has plenty of modern living areas for every member of the household to enjoy.
When Averna Homes General Manager, Paul Spatara, sat down to design this home, he wanted to create a spacious, comfortable home for a mature or growing family. Paul wanted the home to be comfortable yet practical and not compete with the current landscape – it would sit confidently but sensitively in a resolved streetscape.
Sourcing materials from various corners of the globe has created an industrial-esque design, meaning the home has an air of timelessness.
The tiles came from Italy, the feature tiles from Japan, the appliances from Germany, the wallpaper from Holland, timber from Canada, the roof tiles from Spain and natural stone from Greece and Turkey. All the natural and authentic materials have been selected with a purpose in mind.
The home’s striking design is immediately apparent from the streetscape – featuring floor-to-ceiling windows and a mixture of neutral whites and chocolate browns.
A low-care garden works to soften the elevation, with shrubbery dotted throughout.
Internally, the home showcases a brilliant execution of open plan design and intelligent use of glass that completes the light and bright abode.
Showcasing the latest fitting and fixtures and recessed ceilings, the open plan kitchen, dining and living spaces tie in with the urban feel.
In the kitchen, clutter is kept out of sight, with a scullery and butler’s pantry concealed by a grey glass door to provide additional storage space and preparation areas.
The outdoor alfresco area extends the main living area with a large entertaining space and outdoor kitchen.
On warmer days and balmy evenings, guests and family will love unwinding in the glistening pool, extending all the way along the floor-to-ceiling windows of the living area.
Elsewhere in the home, the master suite is a modern masterpiece with a floating headboard placed in the centre of the room. This also conceals the lavish walk-in robe.
The ensuite to the master is reminiscent of a hotel suite, with a beautifully curved vanity accompanied by back-to-back basins and curved mirrors, ‘his and her’ showers and a freestanding bathtub to soak away daily stresses. The soaring skylight above again allows ample light into the space.
The minor bedrooms are impressive in their own right, with ample space for occupants and consideration for those needing to study.
